Why this role exists

ThunderClap is building a global design agency that produces international-level work. We're not there yet. But we're getting there fast.

We’ve grown to a 36-person team in just over a year, working with some of the best B2B tech companies across SaaS, AI, and deep tech. But great work doesn’t happen by accident. It takes leadership.

That’s why we’re hiring Creative Directors, people who are not just managers but mentors, craft-obsessed doers, and culture builders. You’ll help build the team, push the work, and shape what great looks like at ThunderClap.

Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Growth

• Manage a team of 3–6 senior designers
• Run weekly 1:1s, set career paths, and promote a feedback-first culture
• Hire top-tier talent and shape the design culture from the ground up
• Build systems for onboarding, critique, and creative quality

2. Creative Direction

• Lead brand strategy and design direction on key client projects
• Review and approve brand deliverables with a high bar for clarity, consistency, and taste
• Jump into design execution when needed (yes, Figma still loves you)
• Collaborate with web and content teams to ensure brand-to-web consistency
